Free Composting Workshops - 2 Hour Workshop

Compost your garden and kitchen scraps to reduce waste and enhance your soil fertility and plant health. Workshops cover composting, worm farming, Bokashi systems and setting up an instant vegetable garden.

These are held in a variety of different locations throughout Central Hawke's Bay, Havelock North, Hastings, Napier and are sponsored by the local councils.

Saturday 1st May 10 am to 12 noon - Mangarau Kindergarten, Mangarau Cres, Havelock North

Saturday 8th May 10 am to 12 noon - Waipatu Marae, Karamu Road, Hastings

Saturday 8th May 1.30 - 3.30 pm - Mayfair Kindergarten, 1210 Cunningham Crescent, Mayfair

Saturday 15th May 10 am to 12 noon - Te Aranga Marae, Boston Cres Flaxmere

Saturday 22nd May 10 am to 12 noon - Camberley Community Centre, Kiwi Street, Camberley

Saturday 29th May 10 am to 12 noon - Trees for HB Nursery, 40 A Beach Road, Haumoana

Every Family attending the Sus'd Hastings Workshops will receive a $10 voucher that can be redeemed at the Environment Centre on a Worm farm, Bokashi or Compost system.
