Courses and Events

The Sustaining Hawkes Bay Trust is proud to offer a wide range of courses, workshops, tours and events. We aim of provide a broad range of information and resources to the public on pertinent topics encompassing composting and waste reduction, local ecology restoration, sustainable living, permaculture, self reliance and many other subjects that are relevant to our environment and our daily lives.

The Environment Centre SHBT work with monthly themes that reflect what is happening in nature and around us and we are offering a number of learning opportunities through our courses and workshops. These are outlined on the “Courses and Workshops” page as well as listed on our “Events Calendar”.

The “Eco Homes Tour” as well as other Events and Speaker Series will be outlined on our “Tours and Events” page and also listed on the “Events Calendar”.

Hawkes Bay Regional Council 2011 Walk and Talk Series

Following the hugely successful Spring into Summer Walk and Talk series, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and the Department of Conservation are pleased to announce the 2011 Summer/Autumn series. From February to May experts will take guided walks in locations around the Hawke’s Bay region – there is something to suit every age and fitness level!
